The 19th December 2019 marked yet another glittering graduation ceremony for thousands of Limkokwing students at the Plenary Hall, Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
More than 30 graduates were recognised for their outstanding participation in events, competitions, academia and sports. They have gone the extra mile in fulfilling their responsibilities, while managing their academic performances.
The graduates were awarded in five categories namely Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing Award for Leadership, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing Award for Creativity and Innovation, Chancellor’s Award for Academic Excellence, University Colours Award for Ambassadorship, and Leaders of the Future Award.
Empowering a generation of creative thinkers
Santa Bahadur A/L Bir Bahador from Malaysia graduated from Bachelor of Arts (Hons) of Creative Imaging in Digital Photography and received the Leaders of the Future award.
During the ceremony he gave an emotional speech sharing his personal experience at the University being a student with special needs.
“I chose Limkokwing University to continue my studies because it welcomes disabled students with open arms to study here. Thank you Tan Sri. Thank you for fulfilling my dreams,” he said.
Iranian Azadeh Tayyebi Moghaddam, who received Tan Sri Limkokwing Award for Leadership and graduated from Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Fashion Design, explained why she chose to study at Limkokwing over other universities.
“To be honest, the experience of studying at Limkokwing University is incomparable. Previously, I was studying in Europe, however, I came all the way to Malaysia to study fashion at Limkokwing. It is the perfect environment for creativity and innovation,” she said.
Farouk Dehbi from Morocco graduated from Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Digital Film & Television and won Award of University Colours for University Ambassadorship, praised Limkokwing for changing him to become a better version of himself.
“Thank you Limkokwing for opening your doors to let our imagination take over. Taking part in the Student Ambassadors Programme and organising events has truly made me a better person in all aspects of life and made me a responsible person,” he said.
