Nafisah Ibrahim Khogali Elsayed from Sudan

11 February 2017

Born and raised in Malaysia, Sudanese student Nafisah is always looking forward to spending holidays in Sudan because of the warmth and friendliness of its people.

Living in Malaysia

Nafisah said the main the reason why her parents moved to Malaysia was because of job opportunities.

“Living in Malaysia my whole life it was quite difficult to connect with the locals. Now that I can speak the language, and once I speak it, they automatically think I’m one of them.”

Studying in Limkokwing University

Having attended international schools since a young age, Nasifah found Limkokwing University to be the best fit for her because of its diverse student body.

“My best friend studied in Limkokwing, I used to visit her on campus all the time, that’s how I got to know more about the University. The minute you enter you feel the energy, the people are friendly and its super chilled which reflected more of the kind of person I am.”

Learning In and Out of the Classroom

“All my life I had the assumption that it’s not just education that will get you somewhere. I think Limkokwing provides that for students, it gives them opportunities to deal with different kinds of events and there’s always something that’s happening, and as students we learn through all of that, not just only text book learning.”

Nafisah believes that not all universities have the Limkokwing’s method of teaching and she wouldn’t want to have it any other way.

Future Plans

“I’m a freelance international model, have been for 2 years and a half now, and also I’m a fitness instructor (Zumba) at Mekhata fitness and I’ve been doing that for 3 years.”

Nafisah said her long term future plans are to start a fashion line. “I chose Bachelor of Business (Hons) in International Business at Limkokwing University to learn more about interacting with the business world.”

“I would advise anyone to come to Limkokwing and study, if you really want to explore your creative potential.”
