Limkokwing University’s creative web team, World Wide Web Domination continues to create award-winning visual graphics and websites that are embedded with information and user-friendly when the team won a total of five top awards bestowed by Interactive Media Awards (IMA) 2013.
The awards are:
- Best in Class Award for Limkokwing Mobile Academy - Education Category (488 out of 500 score)
- Outstanding Achievement Award for Limkokwing Android App - Education Category (464 out of 500 score)
- Outstanding Achievement Award for Limkokwing iPad App - Education Category (461 out of 500 score)
- Best in Class Award for Perbadanan Putrajaya Portal - Government Category (486 out of 500 score)
- Best in Class Award for Perbadanan Putrajaya Portal - Arts/Culture Category (486 out of 500 score)
Each entry was marked down using five criteria: Design, Content, Feature Functionality, Usability, Standards Compliance and Cross-Browser Compatibility with a total of these five criteria scores established up to a maximum of 500.
The Best in Class award is the highest of Interactive Media Awards that represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. While, the Outstanding Achievement award, the second highest award is an extremely challenging award to win. The competition aims to uplift the standards of Internet through marketing and exposure ideas.
Interactive Media Awards distinguishes the highest standards of excellence in website design and development to honour individuals and organizations for their notable accomplishments. The Interactive Media Council, Inc. (IMC) is a non-profit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals.
The Perbadanan Putrajaya Portal is built of web ingenuity to enhance Putrajaya’s appeal as an intelligent city for business and tourism. During the launch of the City of Putrajaya website, Limkokwing University officially became Perbadanan Putrajaya’s Innovation Partner. Limkokwing endorses Putrajaya with a world-class information portal in line with its status as a world-class city. The portal is easy to access and available throughout any devices.
The Limkokwing iPad and Android apps are a mobile version of the University’s Student Portal. Students are able to view class schedules, exam results, lecture notes and more using the applications which are available on its particular App Store. This initiative created by Limkokwing’s World Wide Web Domination is seen as a creative exchange between the university and its students.
The Limkokwing Mobile Academy is an inclusive e-Learning portal that offers everyone self-education opportunities on the go. Its contents are developed by the same specialists who were responsible for the courses currently offered at Limkokwing University and drawing content from the teaching materials used in the University’s various campuses worldwide.
World Wide Web Domination team consists of young creative thinkers and techno-savvy professionals who are highly talented to meet the creative market needs for this millennium.
