Limkokwing students garner international acclaim for Malaysia with showcase in Paris

After putting on great shows across in countries where it stands, in Asia and Africa, and recently at London Fashion Week, Limkokwing University has proudly added one of the most glamorous countries to the feathers in its students’ caps, Paris, France. Nothing could have been more exciting and overwhelming than showcasing the work of 7 student designers from Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in the world’s fashion capital on the 30th July 2012.
Limkokwing University, showcased alongside brands like Chula (Spain), Jaeger London (UK), Mazuan (UAE) and Verano High (USA) at the J Summer Fashion Show. At the ‘Bateaux Mouche’ a modern glass boat touring across the river Seine, covering exquisite and iconic sites like Eiffel Tower, Notre- Dame Cathedral, the Alexander III Bridge, the Pont Neuf, the Orsay Museum and the one and only Louvre Museum.
Malaysians, listen up! What’s even more interesting is that the pictures of Limkokwing’s fashion were featured headlines in China, Poland, New Zealand, UAE, France and even in Los Angeles.
Not too long ago, Limkokwing University produced a capsule collection for the world’s highest fashion show at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge.
Limkokwing University known as the trend-setter in Asia, brought up a predominant black, yet cultural collection of 15 garments which proved distinctive to its audience. Not forgetting that music is the prime essence for Fashion, Limkokwing University made sure to create a special soundtrack mixed in-house by the Sound and Music Academy of the University.
The event was choreographed by UK’s no. 1 choreographer, K.Knight, who has worked with Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Emporio Armani, and MTV.

Known as Malaysia’s leading university for creativity and innovation, the University has supported success for its students even in international competitions, most recently when diploma student Wilson Lim came second runner up in the Asian Footwear Design Competition in Guang Zhou, China last month, competing with representatives from powerhouses India, Korea, Japan, China and Vietnam. Frisca Dewi Mulia also took home First Place at a Nationwide Samsung Galaxy SII Competition.
