The 8th of May will see the 2nd batch of a 130 Felda students in less than a year depart to the United Kingdom under Limkokwing University of Creative Technology’s ‘Global Generation’ program. Last year one hundred students were chosen by their outstanding academic performance for the Felda Global Generation semester in London. The students will be spending an exciting and educational semester at Limkokwing University.
Throughout the semester the studeants will go over a series of lessons and presentations given to them by top billing companies in the world ranking from Coca-Cola, which is the global leader in the beverage industry, to the largest broadcaster in the world, the British Broadcasting Cooperation (BBC). They will also embark on field trips around one of the world’s leading global cities, siting historical landmarks such as Tower of London, Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and many more.
Diploma In Broadcasting (Radio & TV) student and talented songstress Siti Hasreena Biniti Rosli said, “I can not wait to hop into the new Malaysian Airways Airbus A380, and journey to London. It has always been a dream of mine to perform at the iconic Royal Albert Hall and now I am one step closer to my dream and visit the same place the world’s best musicians have performed, such as Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli and from a younger generation Adele, Noel Gallagher and maybe me”.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Felda and Limkokwing University, for this once in a lifetime educational opportunity where we will surely develop appreciation of cultural diversity”, thanked the twenty-one year old who has already sung for His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah, Yang Di-Petuan Agong, Almu’tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah at the Dataran Merdeka so far during her time at the University.
The Limkokwing University’s ‘Global Generation’ has since become a nation building program which helps scholars from the trenches of hopeless rural setups through molding them into the future’s global leaders as they learn the lessons of this highly competitive world. Limkokwing University has been educating FELDA students since in 2005 providing them with university programs that are among the worlds most innovative and are designed as a pathway to career success in a high-income industry.
