Scholarship opportunities worth RM10 million are available to 200 Malaysian students annually at Limkokwing University under the Mahasiswa Sultan Ahmad Shah Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship fund is an initiative of His Majesty Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’adzam Shah to provide opportunity for talented students.
The scholarship allows eligible receivers to fulfil their creative potential and contribute to strengthening the national resources of creative and innovative capital. These include individuals with visual/hearing impairment and physical disability.
“My wish is for Malaysian of all races to take advantage of this opportunity through this foundation to create a bright new future for themselves” said His Majesty.
The Mahasiswa Sultan Ahmad Scholarship Fund was first introduced on 19 Dec 2014 during the University’s Graduation Ceremony. Currently, six students have received the fund with 20 more eligible receivers to be announced on 14 Jan.
“The purpose of this scholarship is to allow Malaysians with talents to have the opportunity to further their studies here at the University,” said Dato Fajura Juffa Mohd Mustafa Kamal, Limkokwing University Vice-President, Corporate Affairs and Relations.
Students eligible for the funds must be Malaysian citizens with at least 3 credits for Diploma Programmes or 5 Credit for Degree Programmes or fulfilled Level 3 Skills Courses (SKM) based on interest and passion. Students with strong curriculum record such as sports, art or performances will be considered.
