At London’s House of Lords on 23 October, Founder and President of Limkokwing University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Lim Kok Wing received the International Lifetime Achievement Award, conferred by the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE).

The inaugural International Lifetime Achievement Award conferred upon Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Lim Kok Wing is the first presented to a global leader in entrepreneurship outside the United Kingdom. The award is in recognition of Tan Sri Lim’s commitment to entrepreneurship not just in Malaysia, but on the international stage as well.

The highest level of recognition that that can be bestowed on a person by the IOEE, the Lifetime Achievement Award was previously exclusive to native Britons only.

Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE) is the UK’s first and only non-profit professional institute dedicated to enterprise development.  Through its awarding organisation for enterprise, Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI) Awards, IOEE recognises the professional achievements and success of global enterprises.  SFEDI Awards was founded in 2007 creating the first dedicated Awarding Organisation specialising in business enterprise and business support, a standing still enjoyed to this day within the UK.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Lim Kok Wing’s pioneering spirit has influenced many in the course of his life and over the last three decades the influence has extended across the globe to touch millions of lives. Tan Sri Lim works tirelessly with Governments towards building a proficient human capital and advance industries into better economies.

Tan Sri Lim’s extraordinary work has been recognised and acknowledged with many awards and accolades worldwide. In 2010 he received a Lifetime Achievement Award with the title of ‘Malaysia’s Father of Creativity and Innovation’ from the Malaysian Government.
