With the shouts of Merdeka resounding throughout towns and villages in 1957 - the year of Independence, the people of Malaya saw the establishment of an important material newspaper - the Berita Harian.

Berita Harian, a leading Malay language newspaper is published daily in five National cum regional editions. The five editions are: Utara (North), Tengah (Central), South (Selatan), Johor, Timur (East) and Wilayah (Sabah/Sarawak).
Each day's publication comes in a set of three sections. The Main paper, Ekonomi and the regional section.
