Maral Islamova from Kazakhstan is a marketing enthusiast whose ambition led her to explore the field of Digital Marketing.
She studied Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting and is currently pursuing her passion for marketing working as a digital marketer at Limkokwing University.
The highlight of her studying journey was joining the Limkokwing International Choir as a goodwill ambassador and having the chance to perform in front of heads of governments and high profile people.
“I flew all the way to Cambodia to perform in front of the Prime Minister of Malaysia! And I also got a certificate for participating with Limkokwing’s International Choir Club which was one of the best achievements I’m proud of,” said Maral energetically.
Along with the technical and practical skills gained studying at Limkokwing University, Maral considers this global experience as an invaluable resource which has enriched her cultural knowledge.
“Studying at the most international university was an eye-opening experience to me. It enhanced my cultural awareness, opened my mind and challenged me with different perspectives. Exposing students to this diversity helps them gain basic knowledge and prepare them for the international market they’ll have to face upon graduation.”
Asked to advise students pursuing degrees in Marketing, Maral said “Today’s digital marketers work at the intersection of creativity and strategic thinking. To succeed in this field, you need creative skills to effectively draw prospects into your brand’s story but most importantly, being able to work among international people so you have the mind-set to the biggest markets,” she said.
