Limkokwing University recognises talent beyond the classroom, with students engaging in their career dreams before they even graduate, singing, modelling and designing to mention a few. 23-year old beauty queen Rorisang Motlomelo is a shining example of Limkokwing unique approach to education.
She is in her final year studying BSc (HONS) Software Engineering. She saw her first big break when she was crowned 1ST Princess Miss Africa. She went on to win 1st Princess Queen of the Universe in 2012, making her the first Mosotho to win an International beauty pageant.
The smart and down to earth beauty queen says Limkokwing University has helped and gave her courage to persevere to achieve her dreams.
‘Through human communication skills I learnt at Limkokwing University I won the first princess Miss Africa 2012 and I am representing Lesotho at Miss Global international.’’
She has also been crowned Miss People’s Choice FM in 2009, and later won Miss Lesotho Companies in 2010. She has lots of modelling contracts coming her way. The brainy beauty also has a heart for people, co- founding Testimony Charity, which offers food and clothing to underprivileged children. She applies the University’s belief of making the impossible possible to her daily life, including when she participates in pageants, and believes it helps her succeed in what she does.
‘Limkokwing University has opened doors for me, broadened my mindset and has indeed given me wings to Fly,’’ she says.
