Louai Ziad Idriss: Versatile Media Producer
Limkokwing alumnus Louai Ziad Idriss is running his own start-up company in Abu Dhabi. It specialises in providing media services such as events, public relations, advertising as well as film and television production services.
Born and raised in the United Arab Emirates, he graduated from Limkokwing University with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Event Management in 2014.
Louai joined Limkokwing because it is one of Malaysia’s top universities. “The University gives students a chance to practice what they study in real life, which is a great aspect of building up and shaping students’ skills so they can graduate with a degree and professional experience.”
He said studying with students from over 160 countries was like travelling around the world in three years. “The environment at Limkokwing University helped me not only by enhancing my communication skills and understanding different cultures, but also by being a body that represents the world in one place.”
During his studies at the University, Louai was selected to serve as a student ambassador and represented over 900 students from his country.
“I got the chance to introduce my culture on a bigger scale all over Malaysia. I worked closely with the University’s senior management and got involved in executing big events and marketing projects.”
He credited the University’s innovative approach to education for it was a good experience that instilled creative skills in him.
Some of Louai’s current projects include creating and launching brands for start-up companies. He has also worked on image and brand development for clients through web design and social media.
“My company also produced a film about women empowerment in the UAE, which is being presented on local and international television channels. We also work on local and international events.”
