YB Dato’ Azis Jamman receives Honorary Doctorate from Limkokwing University

Deputy Home Minister, YB Dato’ Mohd Azis Jamman, was conferred an Honorary Doctorate of Leadership from the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology during the graduation ceremony held on 22 December 2018 in PICC, Putrajaya.
The doctorate was a tribute to his outstanding calibre in people management, commitment in aiding the people in need, passion for new technology, and creativity.
Dato’ Azis was born in Sempoerna, Sabah and completed his degree in Computer Science in the United States of America.
He stepped into the political arena at the age of 35, becoming a member of UMNO in Sabah.
He later was elected as the Youth Chief for Parti Warisan Sabah in 2016.
Dato’ Azis was elected an MP during the 14th General Elections in Malaysia, winning the seat of Sepanggar in his native Sabah and duly appointed Deputy Home Minister.
“I am truly privileged to receive this honour. Thank you to the Chancellor of Limkokwing University, Her Royal Highness Sultanah Pahang Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom and President of the University Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Lim Kok Wing,” said Dato’ Mohd Azis in his acceptance speech.
Due to a clash in his tight schedule, he was unable to attend the graduation and instead had earlier recorded his acceptance speech which was played during the ceremony.
He added, “I have learned of Limkokwing University’s expansion plans into more countries in this coming year and I wish to congratulate Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing for his ambition and his commitment to human advancement and now through this Honorary Doctorate I am truly delighted to be a part of this exciting development.”
