Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing has been officially recognised as the first Lim in the world to have founded a Global University.
A delegation from the Federation of Malaysia Lim Associations were welcomed at the Cyberjaya campus on 6 February 2018, where they bestowed the recognition on the University’s Founder and President.
Present were Vice-President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Batu Pahat, Lim Kian Choo; Federation of Malaysian Lim Associations Youth Division Honourary Secretary, Lim Chen Fong; and the Federation’s National Honourary Secretary, Victor Lim Seng Lee.
The honoured representatives voiced their admiration as they were given a tour of the campus, and were briefed on the latest achievements of both the University and Tan Sri Limkokwing.
“It feels like a different world here in this University and definitely a proud moment to witness a Lim as the founder of such a globalised study and work environment,” said Lim Kian Choo during the meeting with Tan Sri Limkokwing and senior management, after the campus tour.
“You never know until you learn, that’s what we did today. It was a new experience,” he added.
The Federation representatives presented an honorary plaque to the University Founder and President at the end of the meeting.
It is the second such title bestowed upon Tan Sri Limkokwing by the Federation, following the recognition he received for the World’s First University Founded by a Lim, on 24 May, 2010.
