Datuk Seri Zainal Rahim Seman, Director General of MAMPU, visited Limkokwing University on 7 November.
The Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU), under the Prime Minister Department, is one of the prominent government agencies in Malaysia that is responsible for modernising and reforming the public sector.
Datuk Seri Zainal was met upon arrival by the Founder and President of Limkokwing University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Lim Kok Wing, who gave an overview presentation of the University from its humble beginnings as an Institute of Higher Education to the Global University it is now. Tan Sri Lim also shared the vision of Limkokwing University and its mission to train future successful leaders of the world by empowering the students through creative education.
Datuk Seri Zainal, who was also given a campus tour, was very pleased with his visit and congratulated Tan Sri Lim and the University for the remarkable achievements that it has attained thus far.
According to Datuk Seri Zainal, the Malaysian Government is currently moving from the old electronic based method to a full digital public sector. This move will promote the transformation of public service delivery by redesigning the people’s thinking and creating a better frame work for the improvement of the country through higher leadership capacity and smart management system.
Datuk Seri Zainal added that, with its globalised environment and a large international student composition, Limkokwing University will be in a position to lead the digital transformation.
