The National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia (NKF) recently gave a talk to Limkokwing’s students on how to keep kidneys healthy at the Branding Innovation Centre.
A total of 106 students from Faculty of Communication, Media and Broadcasting attended the talk. Students were mainly from BA (Hons) in Professional Communication, BA (Hons) in Event Management, BA (Hons) in Digital Film & Television and Mass Communication.
Speaker Ms. Maznifah Fatah, NKF’s Head of Public Education Department, talked about National Kidney Foundation as a whole including vision, mission, services, awareness program and World Kidney Day Celebration. While Ms. Kher Pui Ling, NKF’s Dietitian, spoke about ‘Chronic Kidney Disease - Comment, Harmful but Treatable’.
NKF’s Head of Branding & Communication, Ms. Shobana Kamalanathan, briefed the students about the project of World Kidney Day Celebration whereby she required the help of Limkokwing students to be involved in the production of collaterals and also in terms of the event planning.
Previously, the University played host to the ‘Healthy Kidneys Longer Life’ campaign launched by Deputy Minister of Education, YB P.Kamalanathan with representatives of the NKF and Limkokwing University Vice President Dato Fajura Juffa at Limkokwing Hall of Fame. The campaign had students to check their blood pressure and glucose sugar levels along with a health talk.
