Limkokwing Swaziland campus once again became a hive of activity as students returned to campus for registration before the start of the recent academic semester.
The students had been away for the 2-month semester break, thus they were very eager and can be seen to arrive early for the new semester registration session at the University’s multi-purpose hall.
The registration started with a short prayer session and this was followed by the welcoming address by Faculty of Business & Globalization lecturer Dr. Patrice Mwamba.
In his welcoming speech, Dr. Mwamba welcomed the students and congratulated them in passing their examination last semester.
“However, I must remind you that you have not reached the end of your academic journey. You have to continue working hard in your studies and you have to aspire to eventually get to higher levels,” he added. Dr. Mwamba then gave the example of his achievements that culminated in him getting a PhD with distinction.
Limkokwing Swaziland’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC) President Baphatse Dludlu then took to the stage to inform the students on the registration sequence and the required materials. The multi-purpose hall was abuzz with activity as students went through the registration process, which was brisk and trouble-free.
Semester five International Tourism student Lihle Makama was delighted to be back on campus and said that he can’t wait to start his lessons and do his school work.
“Yes, the challenge of studying can sometimes get a bit tiring but at the end it brings joy if you truly work hard and are dedicated to your work. Working hard to get good grades really contributed to my progress to this semester, which was helped by having warm, welcoming lecturers who are ever-willing to assist at any given time” Lihle added.
