Delegates from the SME Association of Malaysia visited Limkokwing University to explore a potential partnership between entrepreneurs and academic experts on 20 December 2017.
Twelve delegates were given the opportunity to observe various packaging and branding techniques to create products that are more appealing to the consumer market.
According to SME Association member, Shoba Rani Paneer Selvam, who is also the National Manager, most local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) lack knowledge on the importance of packaging and branding techniques.
“We could encourage businesses to come to Limkokwing University to organise a workshop while enhancing the importance of packaging,” she said.
She said the association is interested in contributing to educational development by participating in industry talks, workshops, as well as internship training with the students from the University.
At the same time, the partnership would benefit members of the association as well as students with a network share creative ideas and develop valuable industry insights.
Limkokwing University engages in partnership collaboration with various associations, organisations and industries. These partnership ensures students gain industry exposure which would enable them to compete is a globalised environment.
