Limkokwing University’s Interactive Multimedia Design alumnus, Chandra Mogan was all smiles this week when he received his iPad Mini from the University. The iPad Mini was the prize for the ‘Comment and Win’ contest, which required students to give their thoughts on the University’s new and improved website during the beta period.
The excited Limkokwing University graduate said he was happy to receive his prize, which to him was an ‘easy win’. He says he entered the contest because he is passionate about web design and development. This gave him the opportunity to help contribute in developing the University website. He thanked the University for the generosity, saying ‘giving prizes like this motivates students to participate in activities, which in turn broadens their experience.’
He said the competition to him was not just about winning, but to practice his skills as a designer. He thoroughly went through the website page by page, noting down his thoughts as he goes.
“The website is very nice, but there were a few things that I thought could be added, removed, and edited.”
He says that his background in Interactive Multimedia Design studies enabled him to have a better understanding as well as the ability to assess the website and give constructive comments.
“From my studies, I have experience dealing with web development, so it was easier for me to give relevant feedback,” he said.
Limkokwing University’s Interactive Multimedia Design offers a comprehensive, career oriented programme that exposes students to the latest concepts in the multimedia industry, preparing them for employment in key areas of the industry. Chandra, now employed with a significant company as a Multimedia Designer, says he has checked the website again several times since he sent his comments, and was happy to see that the advice he gave had been put to use.
