Global Classroom students in London visited the Adidas UK headquarters and the Old Trafford stadium—the home ground of Manchester United Football Club—on 3 May.
At the Adidas headquarters in Stockport, the group met with Internal Communications Manager of Adidas UK, Jonathan Collinge.
Collinge—who was also a torchbearer in the 2012 London Olympics—briefed the group on the company’s history and vision, stressing the influence of Adidas founder, Adolf Dassler, who believed that sports can make the world a better place.
Adidas is a German manufacturer of sportswear and accessories. It is the holding company for the Adidas Group, which consists of brands such as Reebok, the TaylorMade-Adidas golf company and Rockport.
The students were also taught the Adidas process of ‘Listen, Test, Modify’ developed by Dassler.
In the afternoon, the group visited Old Trafford stadium, home of the 2013 English Premier League champions.
During the 90-minute tour, students were shown around several of the stadium’s facilities, including the dressing rooms and press room.
