Eighteen South Korean Students from Chosun University concluded a 4-week English Winter Camp programme at Limkokwing University on 29 Jan.
During the programme, students were exposed to local cultures at iconic locations such as Malacca, Kota Kinabalu and Langkawi. They learnt to hone their English proficiency and communication skills by sharing experiences through group discussions, presentations and class activities.
“The best part about this whole experience is that I was able to meet people from all over the world,” said 27-year old Lee Na-Ri. “Malaysia has very relaxed atmosphere and this made it easier for me to make new friends while learning a new language.”
For 19-year old student Choi Hwa-Won, Malaysia’s tolerance and respect for diversity has left an impression on her especially in regards to the country’s approachable hospitality.
“Everyone here is very accepting of each other regardless of their race,” she said. “Malaysia has a diverse culture with a friendly atmosphere.”
“My best experience here was being able to see different culture living together as a single community,” she said while adding that exposure made English easier to learn and communicate.
