British High Commissioner to Malaysia, H.E. Victoria Treadell CMG, MVO visited Limkokwing Univeristy in Cyberjaya on 9 July 2018 and was warmly welcomed by both students and staff.
She was given a tour of the Presidential Library, where she was briefed on the many achievements of Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing and Limkokwing University, both in Malaysia and abroad.
After the tour, H.E Victoria met with the University Founder and President, Tan Sri Limkokwing, to discuss collaboration in education, including scholarships and student mobility programs.
“We would like to have more British students be part of this institution, and we should start the ball rolling with 50 students for a mobility program,” said Tan Sri Limkokwing.
He also offered to employ Masters and Degree holders from Britain to come and work at Limkokwing University, to experience what it’s like to be part of a global University.
“It really is a fascinating institution with such a globalized student body,” said H.E Victoria, who was particularly impressed with the grand welcoming during her arrival, a trademark for all distiguished guests to the campus.
H.E. Victoria herself is no stranger to warm welcomes in Malaysia.
Born in Ipoh, Perak to a Cantonese mother and a father of French-Dutch ancestry, she has the perfect credentials in terms of understanding the cultural diversity and the people of Malaysia.
