British and Korean Universities seek academic collaboration with Limkokwing University

18 February 2012, by Mathew Morais

The Limkokwing University of Creative Technology recently rolled out the red carpet for visitors from universities from the United Kingdom and the Republic of Korea at the Cyberjaya campus.

On the same day, another delegation from 15 Korean universities came to study the Limkokwing methodology of creativity and innovation in its programmes.

The first visit was made by the representative from Coventry University, London, Frank Giannasi and the following day, it was the turn of a group of delegates from fifteen different Korean universities to receive a warm welcome from Limkokwing students and staff.

Joint co-operation

While the British institution represented by Frank Giannasi was here to collaborate on Engineering programmes, the Koreans came to find out and learn more about the world’ leading creativity University.

Later at a discussion with Faculty heads, Mr Giannasi said he looks forward to working with Limkokwing as his university too shares similar principles, for instance, global reach, multi-cultural campus environment and innovative modules.
Both Limkokwing and Coventry University are collaborating on developing new programmes to be introduced here in the near future.

Korean teams at the Branding and Innovation Centre - they were impressed by role of the centre to ‘educate’ rural entrepreneurs to market their goods and services through modern branding techniques.

Korean chapter

For the Koreans, it was an invigorating visit that gave them a fascinating insight into a Malaysian University well-known for creativity and innovation as the teaching tool in producing global graduates with 21st century knowledge, industry skills and broad mindsets to design the future.

Limkokwing University is the preferred choice for Korean students coming here to attend English Language Summer Camps. There are also a good number of Koreans students pursuing various diploma and degree programmes at the Cyberjaya campus.
