When Alex Tan Yue Yik enrolled for the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Software Engineering with Multimedia programme at Limkokwing University, he knew he was set to make waves in the industry. Today, he is the Head of Delivery, R&D and also drives pre-sales activity at Mezza9 Solutions.
“The culture at Limkokwing encourages their students to explore and freely decide the practical projects and article writing to take on during my degree course. This gave me the opportunity to pick the industry of my choice,” he says.
Mezza9 provides diversified consultancy and full outsourcing services since its establishment in 2010 to various industries. For instance, Banking, Telecommunications, Government and many more in line with their strategic partnership expansion across South East Asia.
The company’s vision is to help large traditional organisations to transform into data driven organisations with agility, allowing them to keep up with todays’ market dynamic, serve customers and the public much more effectively and efficiently.
“Some of the notable projects we did include helping KWSP and SOCSO in terms of organisational cultural change, process transformation and process digitalization, better known as digital transformation, with AI, Process Automation, Process engineering, DevOps and BigData,” Alex says.
Alex is currently working on a proposal to land an exciting project that he’s laid his eyes on. “One of it involves big data and analytic related projects for a large organisation in Vietnam, while the other is digital transformation for a traditional organisation in New Zealand,” he shares.
While Alex has achieved many milestones in his career, his highlight is being able to assist a household known company in Malaysia, transforming it from a traditional organisation to an agile and data driven organisation using DevOps principle, Agile culture, process automation, AI, Microservice platform, application modernization and data driven technology.
