Food Court

Balinese cuisine is an exotic experience for the uninitiated. Using an incredible variety of spices, blended with the freshest vegetables, meat and fish, eating REAL Balinese food is an unforgettable cultural moment. For locals, meals are usually cooked in the early morning and consumed whenever the need arises, often as snacks. Most meals are eaten quickly sans the fuss. Dining out and in groups isn’t a normal social custom for the locals as it is elsewhere in the world.

Besides traditional Balinese fare, visitors can also look forward to other exciting arrays of food which can be found at the warung (eating house) or fast food restaurants. International fare is not hard to find as Bali offers a large number of variety in the form of specialised cuisine including American, European and Oriental offerings.

When it comes to snacks and other miscellaneous food purchases, you can visit any one of the branches of Bali’s own convenience store chain -Circle K. You will be able to shop for mineral water, bread, carton milk, soft drinks, candy bars, fresh pastry and even prepaid phone cards here. Circle K continues to expand and can be found at most tourist walk-through locations and is especially prominent around Kuta, Legian, Seminyak and Denpasar.
