His Excellency Emir Hadzikadunic, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, gave a courtesy visit to Limkokwing University on 5 April 2017.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country located on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeastern Europe. Limkokwing University has a special on-going relationship with Bosnia and Herzegovina that first began when Founder and President of the University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Lim Kok Wing, initiated a worldwide awareness and fundraising campaign for the country.
Called the ‘Global Humanitarian Appeal for Bosnia-Herzegovina’, the initiative rallied worldwide support for the rehabilitation of the war-ravaged country. It was launched by Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing in Kuala Lumpur in 1996.
The campaign involved the publication of two books ‘Bosnia – Beyond Words, Beyond Tears’ and ‘Bosnia Today’, an exhibition, and the Global Humanitarian Appeal website to raise funds to rebuild the country.
Through the efforts put forth by Tan Sri Lim, the suffering of the people of Bosnia-Herzegovina, as well as their strength and resilience, have been highlighted and brought to the world’s attention.
