Limkokwing Swaziland’s Christmas Tree Lighting Event Kicks off the holiday season

Over 250 children from the Motshane Hope House Orphanage had a joyful Christmas after Limkokwing University Swaziland donated foodstuffs and essentials to the orphanage. The donation was made at the Swazi Plaza during the University’s annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
In attendance were the Minister of Economic Planning and Development His Royal Highness Prince Hlangusemphi and the Minister of Health Honourable Sibongile Ndlela-Simelane.
Other notable guests included Swazi Observer Managing Editor Mbongeni Mbingo, Swazi TV Public Relations Officer Nomcebo Malinga, Motshane Hope House Orphanage Chairman Reverend Chomba, government ministry representatives and industry leaders.
Delivering her address, the Minister of Health commended and applauded Limkokwing University for donating to children of Motshane Hope House Orphanage. She highlighted that sharing and giving are central in the Christmas spirit.
Minister Ndlela-Simelane encouraged the act of sharing and hoped a lot more people and organisations will donate to orphanages like Limkokwing University has done.
Members of the audience, especially children from the Hope House Orphanage, were excited and grateful for the gifts they received.
The Hope House Orphanage Chairman, Reverend Chomba voiced out his gratitude on behalf of the Orphanage and applauded Limkokwing University for its kind gesture.
He highlighted that Limkokwing University’s donation would definitely stretch beyond the Christmas season due to its quantity. “Being able to see prominent people at close proximity is motivating for the children. It is their dream to grow up and be successful where they too are able to give back to their community,” he concluded.
