Limkokwing University walked away with the championship title at the recent LINKZ ICT competitions, which were held on the 20th September 2013.

Limkokwing University walked away with the championship title at the recent LINKZ ICT competitions, which were held on the 20th September 2013.

LINKZ is an annual ICT national event, organized by BOTHO University (BU), targeting all tertiary institutions in Botswana. This year Limkokwing University, University of Botswana, Botho University and Gaborone Technical College participated in the competitions.

The competition categories included : IT Innovation, IT online puzzle,  IT quiz, Web site design, Database design, Debugging, IT paper presentation, Network design, Extempore, Poster presentation, Animation, Photo editing, AD-MAD, Debate and Video Blending.

Limkokwing participated in all the categories, and were declared the overall champions of the 2013 competition, moving a step up from the 2012 competition where they took second position.

Prior to the competition, Limkokwing held weekly meetings on Saturdays to assist students with preparations and progress monitoring of their projects. The meetings were facilitated by mentors from faculties of ICT, Design, Multimedia, Communication and Students Services.
