Limkokwing University Swaziland was bestowed a PMR.africa Diamond Arrow Award on the 17th Nov, at an awarding ceremony held at the Royal Villas.
The ceremony was hosted by a PMR.africa, a South African company that evaluates and rate companies, institutions, government entities and individuals on their competencies, contribution to economic growth and national development.
PMR.africa aims at setting a benchmark for quality standards through recognition and honouring of the best and most accomplished organisations and individuals, hence promoting excellence in industries.
The awards are given following a thorough research process whereby companies, departments, institutions and individuals are nominated and rated by a panel of industry leaders. The awards are given in a three tier system, with the Diamond Arrow Award as the highest, most sought-after award, only given to companies considered ‘outstanding’.
Limkokwing University was selected for its unique approach to education, which encourages students to be more hands-on and practical, thus producing skilled graduates before they entered the industry.
The University brought global standard education and new technologies to Swaziland, putting the Kingdom’s youth in the same pedestal with other youth worldwide.
It has also constantly and actively taken part in giving back to the Swazi community, supporting causes and providing monetary aid. One of the University’s latest projects was building restroom facilities for a primary school that has over 200 students enrolled and no proper lavatory facilities.
