Alisya Andoko who hails from Indonesia has always been passionate about all things creative. When deciding where she wanted to further her education, Alisya knew Limkokwing University was her top choice. So she enrolled for the Diploma in Multimedia, Advertising & Broadcasting programme. Upon completion, she continued and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Professional Communication.
“This was when I was first introduced to the world of multimedia. I am grateful for the cool marketing team that assisted me in the selection process during my consultation sessions. This course has helped me with the majority of my work,” she says.
As the Executive Secretary and Marketing Manager at Finesse General Trading Import & Export W.L.L, Alisya is primarily responsible for the front-end operations for projects such as branding, multimedia, marketing, and communications within the organisation. That’s not all. Occasionally, she also works on designing and editing for the company’s promotional materials.
Finesse General Trading Import & Export W.L.L equips businesses with the necessary tools they need to run a modern enterprise. They source manpower, imported goods, manage operations and contracting vehicles and oil machineries.
“We aim to be the most valued general trade service provider for businesses of all sizes, as well as to become indispensable to our clients by delivering the services that assist them in achieving their goals in the GCC,” she says. “Several of Kuwait’s most prominent business families are also major shareholders in our 12 sister companies.”
Alisya is currently on a mission to launch an F&B business, specifically a cloud kitchen, a niche which has always been an area of interest for her. “I’ve been doing their branding, sourcing and soon, I’ll be directing their photoshoot and video shoot. We’re also re-branding a whole automobile company, Autocapital. And in the next couple of months, we’re going to host a motor show!” she exclaims.
Before meeting her current employer, Alisya ran a social media marketing agency that was mostly based online. “We helped young graduates earn as freelancers when they couldn’t get their first job elsewhere. One of our missions was to offer them their first experience as a professional and build their portfolio for those whose potentials were overlooked by the saturated job market,” Alisya says.
