College of The Arts of the University of South Florida Dean Professor James S. Moy visited Limkokwing University on Friday, 25 November.

The University of South Florida (USF) is an American metropolitan public research university located in Tampa, Florida, United States. Founded in 1956, USF is the fourth-largest public university in the state of Florida. The USF system comprises three institutions: USF Tampa, USF St. Petersburg and USF Sarasota-Manatee. The university is home to 14 colleges offering more than 80 undergraduate majors and more than 130 graduate, specialist, and doctoral-level degree programmes.

During the visit, Prof. Moy met with Limkokwing University’s top management and one of the topics that they touched on was about intercultural exchange programme between both universities.

Such intercultural exchange programme will benefit students from both universities as it involves intercultural immersion experience featuring grounded learning and similar meaningful interactions with people from a culture different from one’s own.

There are over 150 countries represented in Limkokwing University and this is reflected by the award of ‘The Global University of Malaysia’ — a designation conferred upon the University by the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Over 75% of the students at the University’s Cyberjaya campus are international, an achievement that is unparalleled throughout international tertiary education.

With campuses in three continents, the educational experience at Limkokwing University has been imbued with the best of Asian, African and European educational values. Students can make friends with people from around the world, learn about other cultures, traditions and develop a global mind-set.
