Limkokwing International Student Ambassadors: Future Leaders of the World

Limkokwing international student ambassadors were given an experience of a lifetime when they met with the Founder President of Limkokwing University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing on 21 February 2019.

Multinational, multi-talented and stylish the student ambassadors are a group of students appointed by the presidential office, hand-picked to perform specific duties on and off the campus.

They are morally bound to serve the interests of fellow students, especially newcomers who need help in their adjustment to campus life at Limkokwing.

Among some of their duties are; organising cultural activities, hosting important events receive visitors, brief parents about the course of study and introduce them to campus facilities.

Through their roles they get hands-on experience while working with students from over 160 countries. They also develop leadership and team working skills which shapes them to lead in careers of their choice right after graduation anywhere in the world.

Empowering a generation of creative thinkers

During a meeting held at the University’s annexe office, Tan Sri Limkokwing, to discuss future events/projects planned for 2019 and the upcoming years.

“For those of you who love to travel, it is high time to be a student ambassador now as we are further expanding our campuses abroad and it will be a great opportunity to explore the world. We must make sure to do something really different that the world pays attention to it, that’s when you become the best in the world,” said Tan Sri Limkokwing.

He also said that the cultural diversity, talents and creative ideas that Limkokwing University has is something that creates a big difference compared to other Universities in Malaysia and abroad.

Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Journalism student, Ma Yawen, who represents China as an ambassador, said that being able to represent her country in such a global University in Malaysia gives her so much pride and enthusiasm.

“I am really thankful to Limkokwing University for giving me such a golden opportunity to represent my country in a wonderful country like Malaysia,” said Ma Yawen at an interview.

Another student ambassador from Kyrgyzstan, Mariia Ermakova, who is studying Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting and Journalism, said that being a student ambassador has enabled her to become more accepting towards various cultures.

“I am just so excited to be part of such a vibrant group of people from different parts of the world and I can already sense a positive learning experience from being a student ambassador,” said new student ambassador, Ahmed Khesraw Wazim of Afghanistan, Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture student.
