Limkokwing Cambodia held its first Discovery Day recently, playing host to over 100 prospective students who took part in a campus tour as well as a series of workshops highlighting Limkokwing University’s innovative approach towards education.

This edition of Discovery Day was targeted at last year’s high school graduates as well as current university and MBA students. Discovery Day was conceived as a way to introduce them to the various programmes offered at the campus by immersing them in interactive workshops conducted by lecturers.

Discovery Day was deemed to be a success with several participants signing up for more than one workshop. The most popular workshop turned out to be the Digital Film & Television workshop with 24 participants in total, an indication that there exists an untapped talent pool with a keen interest in the subject, even though it is still not seen as a viable career for most in the country.

As an advocate of 21st century education looking to equip the next generation with the requisite digital skills in fields such as business; information technology; creative design; multimedia; interior design and architecture, Limkokwing University is taking the lead in changing the mindset of a new generation and looks to be the frontrunner when it comes to choice of universities for its innovative programmes.

Limkokwing Cambodia will be having another Discovery Day in August, targeted at the country’s Grade 12 students.
