When Suhrab Anvari first went to Malta, he took on a 9-5 role as a Business Analyst for an online gaming company. However, it wasn’t long before he realised it wasn’t his cup of tea and preferred a job that involved his interpersonal and sales abilities. So, he joined BigWig Headhunters.
“As a self-employed headhunter, I was given the freedom of working hours with an entrepreneurial mindset,” he says.
The Turkish nationale who is currently based in Malta studied the Bachelor of Business (Hons)in International Business programme at Limkokwing University. “With the help of my educational background which mainly focused on the better understanding of cultures, it helped me to build my network in Malta,” he shares.
In addition to that, his knowledge and understanding of Business Management helped him to improve his company’s operations both internally and externally.
Suhrab’s role at BigWig covers the financial sectors. They are a specialised recruiter who mainly focus on recruiting candidates for top positions. “We believe in the power of people. People that use their unique skills, their talent and their ambition to help an organisation grow.” he adds.
Currently, Suhrab and his team are working on mentoring and guiding newcomers to their growing finance department. They are also working on their new brand, WigWam – an online platform for job seekers.
While Suhrab has many projects in his portfolio, he says his favourite project is building the finance department. “In the past year, we have seen increased growth and I am proud of the direction we are heading in the future,” he shares.
Another milestone for Suhrab was studying for his MBA while working as a headhunter. This equipped him with a better understanding of putting business theories to practice on a day-to-day basis.
