Abel Thevaraj from Malaysia, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Recording Arts student at the Sound and Music Design Academy, has a very good reason for naming his album “Rhythm of Heart.”
Consisting of five songs, it covers all ages, from young to old, and deals with a variety of topics, all of them matters of the heart.
“Through my album, I am also trying to reach out to artists from the Malaysian Tamil music industry to create work worth talking about for ages,” said Abel.
He said Limkokwing University’s international presence and its studio facilities were the main reasons that caught his attention and played a huge role in his decision to enrol his studies.
He said SMDA lecturer, Mr. Faizal, was one of the people who inspired him, and that he was forever grateful for the assistance and guidance given to make his album a success.
Never Give Up
“One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management, especially when arranging appointments with my artists and at the same time, handling other assignments of different modules,” said Abel.
Upon completing the album, Abel really understood the importance of time management and the significance of ensuring the very best quality for the audience to enjoy and learn from.
After a rough journey producing “Rhythm of Heart”, Abel realised that self-discipline and proper time management is key in one’s journey in the music industry.
He urged all aspiring music lovers that are eyeing a career in this field, to keep their heads up high always, and most importantly, to never give up because failure is the first step to the many successes ahead.
