Limkokwing University of Creative Technology bestowed an Honorary Doctorate on the former South African President , Dr Nelson Mandela, on 19 June. The president of the university, Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing personally, presented the honour at the Mandela Foundation building in Johannesburg. Mandela, who is already 90 years old, could not attend the ceremony. He was represented by his close friend, Achmat Dangor, who had fought for independence together with him.
