The Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC), United Kingdom, recently recognised Limkokwing University as the Global Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Model University.
Limkokwing University is recognised for its successful systematic delivery of industry-relevant programmes across its campuses in Asia, Africa and Europe that prioritise digital skills, creativity and design to produce human capital imbued with the skillset needed by industry to manage the challenges of a globalised technology-driven workplace.
Maurice Dimmock, Chairman ASIC United Kingdom, presented Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Lim Kok Wing, President and Founder of Limkokwing University, with the Transformational Leadership in Global TVET Education Award.
According to Dimmock, ASIC acknowledged Tan Sri Lim’s “pioneering endeavours to bring industry into education which has changed the landscape of private education in Malaysia.”
Dimmock also said that “ASIC will be working with Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing and the University to network them with world networks such as International Vocation and Education and Training Association (IVETA), TVETUK, UNICEF and UNESCO.”
