While the world is still battling the COVID-19 pandemic, - Heal the World Foundation continues to live up to its mission to make the world a better place – a world where people from all walks of life love and care for one another by holding campaigns, spreading awareness, and donating to various causes that need the urgent attention.

On its latest campaign to spread holiday cheers and bring hope for the new year, Limkokwing- through the foundation donated over 300 hampers to about 50 old folks’ homes in Klang Valley, Seri Kembangan, Subang, Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, Ampang, Rawang and Puchong on 31 December 2020.

The hampers were prepared and donated by Limkokwing International staff who acknowledged the importance of taking part in events that uplift lives of others. The staff ensured Covid-19 protocols were followed throughout the visit to the homes.

Heal the World Foundation planned a series of donations to orphanages, old folks’ homes, frontliners and different NGO’s for the entire year.

Heal the World Global Campaign

Spearheaded by Founding President of Limkokwing Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing, this year the foundation made millions worth of donations in Malaysia, and Africa to help alleviate challenges brought on by the pandemic.

In April 2020, Tan Sri Limkokwing donated masks and bottled water worth of RM60,000 to support front liners in Malaysia who are currently serving the nation during the COVID-19 outbreak. Giving his profound remarks he said, “We want to contribute in whatever way possible to lessen the impact of the pandemic and to show our appreciation to our brave front liners for their sacrifice, dedication and contribution during Malaysia’s hour of need,” said Tan Sri Limkokwing. “It is times like this that we really need to step up and be united, putting aside our differences, and work together in our collective fight against Covid-19.”

Fast forward to December the same year Limkokwing Botswana through Heal The World Foundation shone the spotlight to frontliners who have been braving the pandemic to save lives. They were celebrated during the lighting of a four-story Christmas tree lighting – the biggest in the country, in addition to donations to various charities. Limkokwing Lesotho and Eswatini also held events to spread an uplift the holiday spirits.

For over 50 years Tan Sri Limkokwing has dedicated his life to uplifting the lives of others. In Africa and Asia, through the 12 universities established there, he has provided access and opportunities for education on a philanthropic model. Over the years, strategic partnerships with UNICEF, UNESCO, UNDP, UNHCR, The Commonwealth and other world organisations were established to promote world peace and understanding across the 160 countries where the Limkokwing University students come from.
