South African Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources visits Limkokwing University

Limkokwing University Cyberjaya was pleased to welcome the South African Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources Mr. Godfrey Oliphant on 5 September 2017.
Mr. Godfrey Oliphant graduated from the Huhudi High School and pursued studies in economics. In 1994, he served as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committees on Public Works, on Science and Technology, on Labour as well as on Mineral and Energy. In addition to being Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources, Mr. Oliphant is a member of the South African Communist Party and the Task Team of the African National Congress (ANC) in North West Province.
During his visit, he was received by Limkokwing staff and was given a presentation about the University’s academic record, philosophies and ecosystem.
Mr. Oliphant expressed his delight at having had the opportunity to visit Limkokwing. “I was inspired by the welcome I received even before starting the campus tour. This is the kind of University I would want set up in South Africa. Its creativity is exactly what we need to bridge the gap between academia and industries.”
He further elaborated that many beneficial prospects can be explored with the University to cultivate talent in South Africa.
