Limkokwing University has the highest number of Google AdWords Certified students under the Google Ignite programme

The Google Ignite programme concluded on 24 October in Limkokwing University, with a total of 136 students successfully becoming Google AdWords Certified.
Google Ignite is the search giant digital training programme aimed at helping university students to jumpstart a career in digital marketing at top companies. The programme was offered to final year students, and participants went through a rigorous 3-week training programme conducted by expert Googlers.
Participants who completed the programme successfully received the Google AdWords certification, a professional accreditation that Google offers to individuals who demonstrated proficiency in basic and advanced aspects of AdWords.
Certified individuals can then submit a job application through Ignite and get job interview opportunity with Google Ignite’s Corporate Partners in December 2015.
Out of the 7 participating universities in Malaysia, Limkokwing University emerged as the top university with Google recognising the University as having the highest number of Google AdWords certified students.
The 136 students that have now become Google AdWords Certified came from 4 different faculties (Multimedia Creativity, Information & Communication Technology, Communication, Media & Broadcasting, and Business Management & Globalisation).
Limkokwing University’s collaboration with Google is part of the ‘Indusity’ concept practised by the University. Limkokwing University pioneered the concept of Indusity, a term coined by combining the words ‘industry’ and ‘university’. The practice promotes active involvement of students with the industry and its professionals even before they graduate.
