Minister Mosothoane also congratulated the graduates and commended the University for changing the education landscape in Lesotho. She said the graduation ceremony was not only a celebration for the graduates and their families, but also for the rest of the country, especially for the Ministry of Education and Training.
“As the Minister directly involved in the nurturing of young talent, this day marks success for the Ministry of Education and Training also,” she said.
She added that the workplace has now evolved to demand skill and aptitude from all stakeholders, thus a 21st century education system that trains students in such competencies is highly necessary.
“The fast evolving workplace is placing great demands on the capabilities of not just employees but also all who support the business – from consultants, agents, suppliers and many others. All of whom must be able to respond to economic needs and social issues with the best solutions,” she said.
Outstanding students were given awards of recognition for their hard work and unwavering dedication to their studies and school activities during the ceremony.
