The Limkokwing Academy of Creativity and Innovation hosted its Melaka graduation ceremony on 11 June at the University’s flagship campus in Cyberjaya.
Over forty students received their hard earned Professional Diploma certificates in Tourism Management, Events Production, Digital Animation lastly Graphic and Digital Design.
The graduates were also recognised by the Department of Skills Development and received certificates from the Ministry of Human Resources, Malaysia. It was announced during the ceremony they are the first cohort to receive dual certifications from the Academy and the Ministry.
In attendance at the ceremony were: Limkokwing Vice Chancellor, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Parid Wardi Bin Sudin; Vice President and Limkokwing Academy of Creativity & Innovation Chair, Dato’ Raja Aznil Bin Raja Hisham; Vice President Corporate Development, Dato’ Gail Phung; Vice President Corporate Relations and Student Affairs, Dato’ Fajura Juffa; Vice President President’s Office, Dato’ Dania and Vice President General Management, Datuk Dr. Yew Choong Hui.
Other attendees included President of JKK Portuguese Settlement Melaka, Mr. Richard Hendricks; MDEC and FINAS representatives and Limkokwing University industry partners to mention a few.
During his speech at the graduation ceremony, Dato’ Raja Aznil Bin Hisham congratulated the graduates on working hard for their credentials and gave them advice on how to take on their future endeavours.
“My advice to the graduates in this hall is never to be frightened by challenges, break them down so that you understand and find the means to overcome them,” he said.
“The future is coming your way, be courageous and step into it with confidence and you will succeed,” Dato’ Raja Aznil concluded.
Roselin Peters, winner of the ‘Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Lim Kok Wing Award for Leadership’ and a Professional Diploma in Graphic and Design graduate mentioned that the skills she gained at Limkokwing University will ensure her a successful career.
“I am really excited and more than looking forward to go back to the corporate world because I am ready. The skills I gained at Limkokwing will set me apart from the rest,” Roselin said.
Dylan Nigel Scully, a graduate in Tourism Management acknowledged that there is no other best place for learning than Limkokwing University.
“I have learnt not only theoretical skills but soft skills as well, after the practicals and workshops I’ve attended, I can confidently say I’m market ready,” said Dylan.
Dylan Nigel Scully received the ‘Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Lim Kok Wing Award for Excellence’ and has enrolled at Limkokwing University, Cyberjaya to continue his studies.
