Limkokwing University celebrated the achievement of 153 students from 11 different South Korean universities after five weeks of an intensive English learning programme.
After a successful five weeks of an intensive English learning programme, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology had celebrated the achievement of 153 students from 11 different universities all over South Korea during the Winter Camp.
Present at the event was H.E. Mr Yoon Chang-Yul from the Korean Embassy in Malaysia; Limkokwing University Associate Vice President and Fashion Club Creative Director, Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim; Limkokwing University Associate Director, Mr Eric Way Lovemore; International House (IH) coordinator, Mr Andrew Clay; students and lecturers.
“Wow! I didn’t expected to see so many Korean students’ at one time, in one place,” said Mr Yoon.
He added, “I hope the 153 students who participated in this camp for five weeks will be a good example to others in Korea. I also hope that the number of Korean students participating in the programme this year will be a high record as summer camp students are expected to be more. I believe that this is a very good signal for us to make closer relations not only between the Korean Embassy and Limkokwing University but also between the two countries.”
All students had undergone a Limkokwing Multicultural Diversity Programme at Limkokwing University. Earlier, a group of Kaywoon School of Art and Design students had completed their sessions and has left for Korea.
“It’s been a month since we came here. I believe that my fellow friends had a good experience here including the improvement of their English language which was the main purpose of our visit. Everyone has been so nice and kind to us. I wish that I could stay here longer. Thank You for the beautiful memories at Limkokwing University. I have not only learned about the English language but many other things as well,” shared student Paek Kyomng Jin from Hallym University.
