Swaziland’s Deputy Prime Minister; Honorable Paul Dlamini, and the Minister of Education; Dr. Phineas Magagula, visited Limkokwing University on the 5th May. The visit served as a foundation for the upcoming first ever graduation ceremony of Limkokwing University Swaziland.

The dignitaries were given a campus tour, visiting most of the campus facilities like the Macintosh (MAC) labs, which only houses MAC computers, the library and the academic block. At the end of their tour, the visitors briefly met with the campus leaders to discuss protocol in line with His Royal Highness King Mswati III’s attendance at the upcoming graduation ceremony.

During the discussion, the Minister of Education thanked the University for bringing education to cater to the new industries that are growing in Swaziland, saying ‘the knowledge, innovation and technology offered by Limkokwing University will play an important role towards the success of Swaziland’s Vision 2022’.

He went on to say the University was indeed Swaziland’s University of Innovation, because it brings skills and capabilities that would lead the country to a transformation matching the modern world. Limkokwing Swaziland was officially declared Swaziland’s University of Transformation by His Majesty King Mswati III last year July, during his visit to the University’s main campus in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

The Deputy Prime Minister also applauded the University for its quality facilities, calling it a ‘twenty first century campus’ praising the high technology equipment availed to students. He said the University’s presence in the country was a good investment, and thanked the University’s Founder and President, Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing for establishing the University in Swaziland.

On his closing words, he said he was looking forward to the graduation as he believes the Limkokwing graduates will bring a positive change in Swaziland’s industries.
