Minister of Human Resources pays courtesy visit to Limkokwing University

The Minister of Human Resources made a courtesy visit to Limkokwing University on Thursday 19 January.
On arrival, Y.B. Dato’ Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem was received by Limkokwing University’s Senior Vice President Dato’ Gail Phung. Dato’ Sri Richard was then brought to the Presidential Library and given a tour of the University’s ecosystem before meeting up with the Founder and President of Limkokwing University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Lim Kok Wing.
During the meeting, Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing offered to help the Ministry of Human Resources in training Malaysia in upskilling the national workforce. Dato’ Sri Richard thanked Tan Sri Lim for the offer, saying that his ministry was proud to have the University as a collaborative partner.
“My concern as minister is for Malaysia to increase our skilled work force. With Limkokwing University’s expertise we can do it. With a partnership a lot will happen. We will move forward, move into a global mindset,” he added.
The Malaysian Government has recognised the endeavours of Limkokwing University in globalising Malaysian education through the upscaling and upskilling of thousands of youths in three continents through 21st century relevant industry-centric vocational training to deliver social and economic transformation. Limkokwing University with its world-class infrastructure has been endorsed by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education as Malaysia’s University of Innovation. In 2013, the Prime Minister of Malaysia recognised the University as Malaysia’s University of Transformation for its contributions to the country.
