Creative Multimedia graduating students participate in Spectrum Exhibition

Professionals from more than 30 studios attended the Spectrum industry review at the Limkokwing University Cyberjaya campus on 15 June.
Limkokwing University Students showcased their works to a panel of Malaysian and International games, Animation and Multimedia Industry companies. These students consisted of 60 graduating students and 43 Games students from the Faculty of Multimedia Creativity.
The Spectrum exhibition aims to provide exposure to students with industry practises. This encourages scholarly dialogues, critiques and discussions between student and industry practitioners while promoting new talents to the industry.
Students gain a networking platform to showcase their portfolios and final project showcase with industry practitioners.
Diploma in Interactive and Multimedia Design Student Elizaveta Vetluzhskikh said the exhibition allowed her meet industry professionals and develop her presentation skills.
“I was able to get their feedback and know what they want from us,” she said.
“All the lecturers in the faculty are really helpful,” she said after the review. “They were very involved with my project and made it easier for me to understand the topics.”
The exhibition allowed Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Animation student Akpotoboro Oruaro to learn to promote his designs.
“This helps bring us closer to industry guest and a platform to share ideas, he said. “We also get to see how the industry works.”
Limkokwing University provides a platform for students to meet promote their projects with industry players. Students learn from industry professionals while developing their networking opportunities to pursue their careers.
