A group of thirty FICT students from Limkokwing University visited one of Malaysia’s largest telecommunications service provider, Digi, on 7 June 2018.
Digi has over 20 years of experience as a mobile connectivity and services provider with a total of 12.3 million subscribers, the largest subscriber’s base in Malaysia.
During the industry visit, students were given the chance to gain industry tips from the company’s experienced professionals.
They were given a walkthrough of the company, exposing them to the daily workflow at a world-class telco company.
Digi CXO Apprentice, Nur Azrin Afiqah Badri, said that Digi is a great platform to kickstart your career as the company provides the platforrm for individuals to make an impact in the telecommunications industry.
She was also impressed by the focus shown by all the students.
“I can see that Limkokwing students are good listeners, based on the relevant questions that were asked throughout the session,” said Nur Azrin.
A platform to grow
Student, Abdul Aziz Murad, said the visit was truly eye-opening and provided all the students with an invaluable expereince.
“Today’s trip expanded my vision of the Malaysian tech industry,” he said.
Another student, Joanito Tony Jeff, said the trip had opened up new career possibilties for him to explore.
“This positive experience has made me believe that anything is possible to be achieved,” said Joanito.
