Welcome Freshies!

14 March 2013, by Dhashene Letchumanan

After the fun-filled orientation week, it was the night where new students of Limkokwing’s February 2013 intake had to be present with their best dress robes and sandals adopting the ‘Greek Bash’ themed party for their Freshies Night at the Hall of Fame.

A total number of 1682 students from 83 countries who registered with Limkokwing University for the recent intake felt overwhelmed with the celebration.

The theme was chosen by the winning group during the intake’s orientation. This successful event was organized and planned by the student ambassadors, Amr Elsayed of Egypt and David G. Marcus of Malaysia.

“I took part in the orientation week for about two weeks. It was real fun as we played lots of games and we visited the campus along with the different faculties. The moment which I loved the most was during the Putrajaya and Cyberjaya tour. The scenery was very beautiful,” shared freshie, Sheng Jie Snow from China.

The freshies had their best time along with their new-found friends as they enjoyed electrifying performances by Jonah Sithole; Lukas who did freestyle dancing; Jay and Moha on their hip hop tracks; as well as two orientation students who was eager enough to show their talent with their hip hop moves.

“Limkokwing University’s activities are so exciting. I truly enjoyed myself together with my new friends from many other countries at the Freshies Night! Right now I’m looking forward for my classes to begin,” said Nigerian student, Daniel Job.

An award ceremony took place during the night where the top three orientation groups received complimentary hampers.

Freshies Night was not complete until handsome student Wilson from China was crowned Mr. Freshie and the beautiful Tanisha from Malaysia won the title of Mrs. Freshie.

The event went on with heart pumping beats by DJ Omid from the Limkokwing Sound and Music Design Academy.
