Communication students went to the Royal Academy of Arts; architecture students to the Architectural Association Archives; and business students to the Bank of England Museum.
The Royal Academy of Arts is an independent, privately funded institution led by eminent artists and architects. It houses a major collection of works by Royal Academicians past and present. Highlights from the Collection can be seen on guided tours of the John Madejski Fine Rooms.
Global Classroom students saw selected works from the Royal Academy’s collection in the John Madejski Fine Rooms and also gained an insight into the history of the Royal Academy.
At the Architectural Association Archives, students were able to explore thousands of architectural drawings, student projects, paintings and works on paper. The Archives serve to document the educational and administrative history of the Association and preserve examples of its material culture and graphic input.
At the Bank of England Museum, students learned about the history of the Bank from its founding in 1694 to the present day, as well as observing the Bank’s unique collection of coins, bank notes and artefacts.
