Once again, Limkokwing University will be part of the event, the only Asian University to showcase its own collection on the world stage.

The theme is ‘Date Night’ which depicts a glamourous, cool and hip attitude that couples in Asia and Africa have on a date night.

The University’s design team drew inspiration from expeditions to places such as Botswana, Swaziland, Kenya, Iran, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, China, India and Borneo.

Limkokwing University Vice President of Brand, Creativity and Talent Development, Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim said a team of 50 people worked on the Date Night showcase.

“Our collection was created with a special touch of uniqueness to express a feeling of romance and love through costume,” she added.

“We couldn’t be more proud to take part in London Fashion Week. This showcase was a collaboration between our students and staff. We involve our students in these huge projects to show that we know how to build, manage and push any new idea. There is a sense of confidence at Limkokwing that makes us stand out this way.” 

Meanwhile, Limkokwing Fashion Club Head Fashion Designer, Pedram Mirsadeghi, sees the University’s continued participation at London Fashion Week as a great opportunity for students and staff.

“Being a fresh graduate and a fresh designer, one won’t be able to get this opportunity as easy as they can get it with the support of Limkokwing. So for me, to be part of this as one of the team leaders, is amazing.”

For more than a decade Limkokwing University has been showcasing world-class collections in Paris, Osaka, Chengdu, Jakarta, Singapore, Cambodia, Botswana and all around Malaysia.
