Najeem discovered his passion for the creative industry during his school days. Rather than just producing films, Najeem states he likes to share his thoughts and film making knowledge to both his colleagues and students – and was delighted to have been given the opportunity to work at Limkokwing to do so.

“Coming from India – the land of Bollywood, we work on a lot of creative productions and new films which are being screened in Cannes Film Festival and many other film festivals all over the world. I’m a guest lecturer in FCMB at Limkokwing University and I also do cross teaching for the PGC programme in Film and Television.”

Asked on what hes’s working on at the moment he said, “We are working a project on the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement. One is going to be a short film which will be around two minutes and the other will be a music video that we are extremely excited about.”

Najeem believes that sincerity and passion is what drives him but also mentioned how important having a strong dream team is to succeed.

“I have a great team behind me which is FCMB and as well as the staff at Limkokwing University. Everyone is warm and gives a helping hand whenever in need.”

Najeem’s last project was a 10-15 min short film. The film was titled ‘Waris’ and it earned him recognition thanks to the Limkokwing International Youth Film Festival.

“Working with people with various cultural backgrounds gives us different cultural perspectives and in turn helps expand our minds and broaden our mentality. Limkokwing University has given me a wonderful opportunity to experience my educational journey with the students from all over the globe.”
